Kennedy Space Center

An hour's drive East from the Orlando area theme parks this is where space history has been made -- and continues to be made. A bus will shuttle you from complex to complex where you will see everything from Saturn V rocket from the Apollo moon program to the Astronaut Training Experience where you experience the moon's gravity and g-force simulators.

TIPS -- As you can imagine, the center is at its busiest if there is a scheduled shuttle launch. You can see the shuttle take off even as far away as Orlando! So plan your trip when you can, and remember that the center closes opens at 9am and closes at dusk daily. The center is not open on Christmas Day. The IMAX theater is an additional charge.

Tip: Order your Kennedy Space Center tickets online -- at a discount -- and receive free shipping! Limited time offer!

DIRECTIONS -- Kennedy Space Center takes up an entire island! Getting there is a breeze, though. Off I-4, take the Beeline Expressway East (SR-528). You'll pass a few tolls along the way and this will make up the bulk of the hour drive into Cape Canaveral. Your exit will be 407 North. Signs will be posted. Stay on 407, go past the I-95 Expressway, then take a right on the 405 which will have you crossing Indian River and will take you right to the Visitor Center where you start your experience.
